The first steps/Az első lépések

First I started to remove the carburetor from the motor. It was not so easy, since the bolts and nuts was quite heavily rusted. But with some liquid, finally I managed to release all nuts.Then I split the carburetor and the intake manifold. Unfortunately the carburetor cannot be used, since it is corroded quite heavily, but the manifold is usable. If somebody recognize what kind of carburetor it is, then please tell me, since I have no idea.

Először a porlasztót próbáltam leszedni. Hát, nem volt könnyű, de végül is sikerült miután befújtam mindenféle csavarlazítóval. Ezután leszedtem a karburátorról a szívótorkot, mert legalább az használható. Sajnos a karburátor az nem, mivel igen erősen el van korrodálódva. Ha valaki felismeri, hogy milyen prolasztó is ez, akkor kérjem írja meg.

I am from Hungary and I found this vintage outboard motor in an advertisement here is Hungary. It was a surprise for me also how is it possible to find such an outboard here in Hungary. After a visit I managed to get the serial number. At that time I did not know what kind of outboard it is, since in the tank it was written: "Evinrude". We suspected that this is an Evinrude Speeditwin outboard from 1934. After some surfing on the net and buying Peter Hunn's The Old Outboard Book I realized that this is an Elto Super "C" Racer outboard from 1933. Wow! Egy hírdetés útján találtam rá erre a régi csónakmotorra. A felirat alapján először egy Evinrude Speeditwin 1934-es csónakmotorra gondolt az eladó és én így is vettem meg. Sikerült a motor sorozat számát megtalálni a motoron egy kis csiszolás után és utána kezdődött egy kis internetes keresés, hogy megtudjam a pontos típust és évjératot. Közben megvettem Peter Hunn: The Old Outboard Book című könyvét is és végül is kiderült, hogy egy Elto Super "C" Racer típusú 1933-ban gyártott csónakmotorról van szó. Unfortunately the carburetor is totally corroded, so it cannot be used any more. The same is true for the rope sheave. The fuel tank has a big whole, but it can be repaired. But the most problematic issue is that it seems that the motor is seized. But let's hope it can be fixed and hopefully it will be in a running condition in this year, when the motor become 80 years old.

A karburátor teljesen használhatatlan, mivel oly mértékben korrodált, hogy gyakorlatilag fel sem lehet ismerni milyen típus. A berántó tárcsa szintén el van törve, ezt is ki kell majd cserélni. De a legnagyobb problémát az jelenti, hogy nem tudtam átfordítani a motort. De a remény hal meg utoljára, valahogy csak sikerül majd kiszedni a dugattyúkat és akkor ismét össze lehet majd rakni működőkpes állapotba az idén 80 éves motort.
