The new carburetor/Az új porlasztó

Since the old carburetor is useless, I had to find a new one for it. Finally I met virtually with Art DeKalb on the net. First I asked some parts catalog from him and later on he told that he has a carburetor for this motor. Not totally the same, but the era is the same and it is also a racer carburetor. Only problem with it is that a small adapter is needed to be able to connect the carburetor with the manifold. So that’s why currently the intake manifold is on the way to its home country and Art will make this small adapter for it.

Mivel a régi porlasztó teljesen használhatatlan, ezért valahogy kellett találnom egy újat. Egy kis internetes keresgélés után találtam rá Art DeKalb honlapjára. Először egy alkatrészkatalógust rendeltem tőle, majd talált egy korabeli karburátort is, ami illik ehhez a motorhoz. A baj csak az volt, hogy egy kis adaptert kell csinálni hozzá, ami összeköti a szívótorkot a karburátorral. Így most a szívotorok épp úton van Amerikába és Art készít egyet hozzá.

The first clean part/Az első megtisztított darab

Here is the first clean part: the intake manifold. It was not easy to remove all the studs from it, but finally it succeeded and after it was treated with the sandblasting beads.

Itt az első megtisztított darab: a szívotorok. Nagy nehezen sikerült kiszerelnem belőle a kis rudakat, amivel hozzá volt csavarozva a karburátorhoz és utána átesett egy üveggyöngyözésen.
